• Sales Engineer

    Position Description

     

    YI Advisors, the social-impact consulting arm of the non-profit Young Invincibles, is seeking a Sales Engineer. This person should have the ability to consult on mobile technology topics to support business development efforts and current project implementation across YI Advisors’ regions, with particular focus on technological projects. The Sales Engineer will be an enthusiastic professional with a strong business acumen and creative outlook. This individual will have two primary roles: 1. To act as a strategic technical consultant for the YI Advisors business development and partnerships team for both new and current projects; 2. Become an expert on YI Advisors’ technical and organizational skills in order to help market YI Advisors’ digital tools to a broad range of prospective clients across sectors and regions.

     

    YI Advisors takes on projects than can help young people - and builds the tools to make that a success. We're looking for team members that care about the application of technology, and have a passion for making sure we're being effective as possible in connecting young adults to the resources they need most.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Interfacing with YI Advisors team, existing and prospective clients to determine technical requirements, feasibility, and expectations

    • Providing feedback to YI Advisors team that results in product improvements, and creative ideas for new products

    • Attending business development events and meetings (ideal candidate is willing to travel up to 25%)

    • Assisting in identifying new business opportunities and clients that align with YI Advisors’ mission and development priorities

    • Researching best practices and existing products in our field of work

    Qualifications

    • Strong comfort with technology products

    • Creative, energetic, and possessing a great attitude

    • Entrepreneurial, able to work independently

    • Professional and mature in all settings

    • Solid communications skills

    • Intrigued by the application of technology

    • Ability to converse on technical topics

    • Enjoys business development and closing a technical sale

    • A passion for Young Invincibles’ mission

    •  

      1-3 years experience in business development or sales AND/OR 1-3 years experience in technology development or related fields (i.e. data science, computer science, product management, engineering)
