Chief Operating Officer
Mouhamad is fueled by the idea that people, knowledge, and technology can be combined to make a positive impact on the world. As Chief Operating Officer, Mouhamad brings a rich and diverse set of experiences working across operations, finance, and management in both the non-profit and corporate worlds.
Most recently, Mouhamad served as Chief Operating Officer at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research. As COO, Mouhamad led the company to the strongest financial position of the past twelve years while managing all aspects of the company’s strategic planning and daily operation.
Prior to his time at GQRR Mouhamad served as Director of Information Technology at Green America, a non-profit organization focused on harnessing the strength of consumers, investors, businesses, and the marketplace to create a socially just and environmentally sustainable society. He also served on the Board as a staff-appointed representative.
Previously, Mouhamad served as Project Director for Microsoft directing the project that brought the Internet to Saudi Arabia for the first time. He delivered the two-year project under budget and ahead of schedule. In addition, he trained and launched Saudi Arabia’s first women’s technology council and designed the country’s first multilingual online courses.
Tobin Van Ostern
Tobin provides strategic counsel and expertise in Millennial outreach and engagement - frequently through the integration of innovative technology. He brings expertise developing messages that resonate and mobilize young adults around various issues on behalf of his clients. Tobin has led a number of high-impact messaging campaigns directed at the young adult audience including his work with Tom Colicchio's non-profit A Place at The Table and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services where he also sits on the Advisory Panel for Outreach & Education at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Tobin previously served as the Deputy Director of Generation Progress, a project of the Center for American Progress, and the National Director of the student engagement program for President Obama’s 2008 campaign.
Aaron's work focuses on developing unique strategic partnerships, messages, and campaigns that resonate with his generation. As the co-founder and original Executive Director of Young Invincibles (YI), Aaron helped grow YI into one of the largest and most impactful youth organizations in the country. Aaron has appeared in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, Politico, and PBS NewsHour, among other media outlets, sharing his expertise on the issues impacting young Americans from student loans to unemployment to health care. He has led major national campaigns focused on engaging Millennials around the Affordable Care Act, and spearheaded efforts to improve student higher education outcomes and increase college affordability.
Emma leads client engagement and offers project management support for YI Advisors -- blending her interest in and commitment to building and maintaining strategic partnerships, identifying creative solutions to client challenges and needs, and managing complex projects.
In addition to her role with YI Advisors, she serves as co-founder and partner at Hersh + Hurd, a consulting and training firm that harnesses the power of communication to shape workplace culture. Her recent prior experience includes serving as Senior Program Manager for the GlobalGiving Foundation and Vital Voices Global Partnership as well as leading projects for clients across the corporate, non-profit, multilateral, and government sectors.
As Outreach Manager for YI Advisors, Emily forms strategic partnerships between clients and local communities of students and young adults, and leads outreach campaigns. Emily's passion for engagement is rooted in a commitment to advancing opportunities for young people and inspiring the next generation of civic leaders.
Emily previously worked as a campus student organizer for the Hillary Clinton Campaign in 2016, and as a community engagement specialist with Conscious Period. Emily is a graduate of Goucher College in Baltimore, MD.
Deputy Director of Product and Innovation
Phelan leads our technology efforts at YI Advisors. Since 2016, Phelan has served as the client and technical lead for the Get Covered Connector, a cutting-edge digital scheduling tool that allows partners to more easily reach and enroll vulnerable communities in health insurance by enhancing their use of new technologies as well as data and analytics. Prior to joining YI Advisors, Phelan worked at Enroll America for several years, working with nonprofit and public sector programs to implement online, messaging and outreach best practices for Affordable Care Act Enrollment. He also has a background in political campaigns, including Barack Obama's 2012 presidential re-election. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a joint-degree in Organizational Studies and Non-Profit Management.
Western Regional Director of
Kristin help leads YI Advisors’ campaigns on education, workforce development, and healthcare in and has extensive experience in developing and implementing community and stakeholder outreach programs.
Mrs. McGuire's prior experience is in public health policy, assisting local municipalities with the creation of smoke-free spaces in their communities. Kristin has also served on the Board of Directors of the Charter Oak Education Foundation and currently serves as a steering committee member for the California Asset Building Coalition. A proud Toro hailing from CSU Dominguez Hills, Kristin is also a proud PTA mom and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a dog-mom to Blue, a rescue.
Data & Research Fellow
As YI Advisors' Data and Research Fellow, Steven performs regular data analyses and conducts research on various topics relevant to our clients and mission. Innately fascinated with dysfunction, Steven revels in opportunities where he can identify and remedy the weaknesses of organizational systems. He currently manages maintenance and content updates on the StreetLight Chicago app and assists with research for the Careers.MN and Here to Career projects.
Steven is currently a 4th year student at The George Washington University where he majors in Political Science and minors in Statistics. He previously worked as a Lead Summer Assistant for GW Housing where he led the redesign of the office's student training procedures.
