Aaron is the President and Founder of YI Advisors. As the co-founder and original Executive Director of Young Invincibles (YI) in 2009, he helped grow YI into one of the largest and most impactful youth organizations in the country. Aaron has met repeatedly with top lawmakers and national leaders to discuss critical youth policy issues, has conducted dozens of trainings on youth leadership development, and has launched new campaigns in partnership with the Department of Health and Human
Services to educate and engage Millennials around the
Affordable Care Act.
Tobin Van Ostern,
Tobin brings his significant expertise in online and offline young adult organizing, policy solutions, and government relations to YI Advisors. He previously served as the Deputy Director of Generation Progress, a project of the Center for American Progress, and the National Director of the student engagement program for President Obama’s 2008 campaign where he built the organization from 20 chapters to over 1,000 chapters.
Clarissa oversees partnerships and client relationships that help advance YI Advisors’ mission. With a background in advocacy, communications, fundraising, and political campaigns, she previously oversaw annual membership development for the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics and has served in communications roles for Transparency International Ireland, the Alliance for Climate Protection, and the State Department's European Media Center.
Director of Product Development
Michael manages technology service offerings, including mobile application design and development. He is a former research associate at the Moffett Group and worked as a consultant for Citrix Public Sector where he managed software implementations and technology strategy for Fortune 500 and government clients. Michael graduated cum laude from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
Tom is responsible for YI Advisors’ quantitative and qualitative analysis. Tom helps partners better understand challenges and opportunities facing Millennial, through survey design and implementation, focus group facilitation and big data analysis to glean insights and drive decision-making. Tom brings a communications acumen to his work, understanding that even the best research will fall short of its goals without a concerted communications strategy and clear applications
for driving decisions.
Business Development Manager
Hillary helps coordinate partnerships designed to mobilize young adults around our work on health care, education, and jobs and engage Millennials on key social impact issues. She previously interned at Cornerstone Government Affairs and 1-2-1 Strategies and Government Relations where she tracked legislative activity, synthesized research on various policy issues, and organized Hill days for clients. Hillary also developed the Kids Farmer’s Market Program at FOOD Share, Inc.
Areeba recently graduated from the University of Chicago where she received a MA degree in Middle Eastern Studies with a focus on economic reconstruction in post-war countries. Prior to her time at UofC, she worked at the Morris County Trust for Historic Preservation, and interned with the Alliance for Positive Youth Development. She is originally from New Jersey, and loves anything with the words coffee and chocolate.
Eli is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where he studied public policy with an emphasis on inequality and health policy in the United States. Prior to joining YI Advisors, he had a research internship at the National Institutes of Health, and a government affairs internship with a firm led by former congressman Alan Wheat. He is a rabid Buffalo sports fan, and his favorite memories are of going to Bills games with his dad.
